In a posting on her Facebook page on August 16, Jo Paolucci’s family announced her passing: “It is with deep sadness that we announce that our dear mother, sister and friend Jo passed away today. Though we grieve the loss, we are relieved that her pain has come to an end and she has found peace.

“Jo was the belle of every ball, famous for her beautiful smile, endless humour and illustrious hostessing. From Wisconsin to Brussels, New York to Geneva, Varese to the Cote D’Azur, Jo’s worldwide circle of friends and family will sorely miss her.

“In keeping with Jo’s wishes, there will be no service. Please remember Jo cheerfully. Celebrate her life as she always preferred- having fun.”

Jo had worked for several years at the International University of Monaco and was an enthusiastic and longtime member of MonacoUSA, famous for her welcoming smile at all its meetings. MonacoUSA said: “Jo was a generous, creative and funny presence on our Board and she will be greatly missed.”

Friends can post their farewells on Jo’s Facebook page, where one friend has written: “I will remember so fondly her fabulous wit, excellent humour, intelligence, generosity and overall awesomeness. A call from her would make my day.”
