Visit Monaco’s Representative Office in Brazil has taken part in an important Brazilian conference dedicated to innovation and its highly diverse startup ecosystem. The Gramado Summit, held not far from Porto Alegre, gathered together 200 exhibitors and attracted nearly 2,500 visitors per day from July 31 to August 2.
Monaco’s involvement has helped to strengthen the Principality’s reputation and visibility as a responsible and committed destination and as a promoter of startups with the same vision.
The first prize of the “Green is the New Glam” award, in reference to the promotional campaign conducted by the Principality’s Tourism and Congress Department, went to Navegue, which won out of 10 finalists. The mobile app is intended for sailors and passengers interested in eco-responsible transport on the Capibaribe River that runs through the city of Recife, Brazil’s fifth-largest city.
