Monaco’s Bus Company (CAM) has hit the brakes on a sneaky online scam. A fake Facebook page, cleverly titled ‘Monaco public transport subscription’, is promising free three-month bus passes—but don’t be fooled. Instead of a free ride, clicking the link could send your personal and bank details straight into the hands of scammers.
CAM quickly sounded the alarm, urging users to stick to the official CAM website and Monapass app for all their public transport needs. If you’ve already handed over your bank details, CAM advises contacting your bank immediately to block any unauthorised transactions.
In this digital age, it seems even your commute isn’t safe from con artists.
