The Grimaldi Forum Monaco has warned contacts to remain vigilant after detecting unauthorised access to its IT infrastructure…
In a security notice issued following the incident, the Grimaldi Forum said the breach was detected on Tuesday, September 29, and that immediate measures were taken to contain it.
As a precaution, the organisation is urging people to be particularly careful about unusual messages that appear to originate from the Grimaldi Forum.
Recipients are advised to verify the authenticity of any suspicious communication directly with a known contact at the Grimaldi Forum, using contact details they have used previously, before responding or taking further action, particularly when a message requests sensitive information or asks for a payment to be made.
The Grimaldi Forum has apologised for the incident and any concern it may cause.
The notice does not specify how the unauthorised access occurred, how long it lasted or whether any personal or corporate data was accessed or compromised.
The warning comes as businesses and individuals face increasingly sophisticated attempts to exploit trusted organisations through fraudulent emails, payment requests and other forms of impersonation.
