The result marks another important milestone in the team’s debut season in the electric powerboat championship, coming in its fifth race of the campaign.
However, the road to the podium was far from straightforward. A difficult opening race saw pilots Oban Duncan and Maxime Nocher make contact and damage one of the boat’s foils, forcing the team into rapid repairs.
The damaged component was repaired in around 30 minutes, allowing Team Monaco to return to the competition and mount a strong recovery. Their comeback ultimately carried them to second place, narrowly missing victory by just one second.
Nocher praised his teammate’s performance after the setback and described the result as an important moment for the fledgling team. The podium follows another breakthrough earlier in the season, when Team Monaco achieved its first qualifying success on home waters in the Principality.
With a maiden podium now secured, attention turns to the next round in Miami, where the team will be hoping to build on its strongest race weekend so far.
