Monaco has once again cemented its reputation as one of the world’s premier hospitality destinations, with three of its most storied hotels securing standout positions in La Liste’s 2026 index of the world’s 1,000 best hotels, an independent ranking built from the combined judgement of gastronomic guides, critics, bloggers and consumer review platforms.
Leading the way is the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, part of the Société des Bains de Mer group, which climbed to joint second place this year alongside roughly forty other hotels worldwide. The recognition adds to an already substantial list of accolades for the property, which also featured on the World’s 50 Best Hotels list in 2025, ranking 36th globally.
Joining it from the SBM stable is the Hôtel Hermitage, which also placed comfortably within the upper reaches of La Liste’s top 1,000, continuing a long run of industry recognition for the historic property.
Rounding out Monaco’s showing is the Métropole Monte-Carlo, which secured a place within the list’s top 100. The hotel’s strong year continues a run of momentum that began earlier in the summer, when Condé Nast Traveler named the Métropole among its own selection of the world’s best hotels in June.
Taken together, the rankings underline just how consistently Monaco’s leading hotels continue to punch above their weight on the world stage, a reflection, industry watchers say, of the Principality’s long-standing investment in world-class hospitality as a defining part of its global reputation.
