Speaking about the project to Monaco Info, Pauline explained that reviving the brand had long been an ambition. After founding her own label, Alter Designs, in 2019 and recently launching a swimwear capsule collection, she felt the time was right to bring Pool Position back to life. The new collection draws heavily on the spirit of the original brand, featuring bold colours, playful designs and updated versions of some of its most recognisable pieces.
While modernised for 2026, the collection remains faithful to the confident and feminine aesthetic that made Pool Position distinctive during its original era. Pauline said the goal was to preserve the creativity and energy of the brand while adapting it for a contemporary audience.
Alongside the relaunch, Alter Designs continues to grow. The label has built a reputation around inclusivity, sustainability and adaptable clothing that allows customers to express their individuality.
Working with a small team of four, Pauline remains closely involved in every aspect of both businesses. She credits her lifelong passion for creativity, combined with the influence of her mother’s entrepreneurial spirit, as the driving force behind her career in fashion. Inspiration for new collections often comes from personal experiences, travel and life around the Mediterranean.
