The artists of the 48th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival were honoured on Sunday evening as the long-awaited awards were announced under the Fontvieille Big Top, bringing an emotional close to another exceptional awards ceremony…

After nearly three hours of deliberation, the international jury awarded the prestigious Gold, Silver and Bronze Clowns, along with 45 special prizes recognising technical excellence, creativity and artistic impact.

Among the standout moments, the Hakuna Matata acrobats received a Bronze Clown, warmly applauded by the audience for their dynamic and high-energy performance. The festival also celebrated emerging talent through its New Generation programme, where young artists perform on the same ring as established professionals. This year, the jury made the rare decision to award a Gold Clown to young acrobats from the Suining troupe, who also received the Junior Gold Medal and a special prize for their remarkable routine.

Public support was also reflected in the awards, with several New Generation performers winning the Audience Prize for their humour and stage presence. One of the evening’s highlights came with the Gold Clown awarded to equestrian artist Angelina Richter, whose powerful and elegant act impressed both the jury and spectators. Performing in Monaco for the first time, she continues a family tradition of success at the festival.

With emotions running high, the ceremony once again underlined the spirit of a global circus family united in celebration. The prize-winning acts can now be enjoyed by the public during the final performances of the festival this week in Monaco.
