The Prince’s Palace welcomed dignitaries, residents and members of the Princely Family today for the official presentation of decorations in the Order of Saint-Charles and the Order of Grimaldi, two of Monaco’s most esteemed distinctions.

Created on March 15, 1858, the Order of Saint-Charles honours individuals who have demonstrated outstanding merit or provided exceptional service to the State or to the Sovereign.

The Order of Grimaldi, established nearly a century later on November 18, 1954, recognises those whose contributions have elevated the Principality’s reputation on the international stage.

Both orders comprise five grades—Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer, and Knight—reflecting varying levels of distinction within Monaco’s honours system.

The ceremony once again highlighted the Principality’s tradition of celebrating civic dedication, cultural influence and service to the Crown.
