The popular Carlo app has announced a new charitable feature that allows users in Monaco to donate directly to local associations—starting with Monaco Liver Disorder, a small but impactful non-profit that supports children suffering from rare liver-related illnesses...

Founded in 2010 by Carla Chester after her son was diagnosed with hemolytic anemia, Monaco Liver Disorder works to improve pediatric services, support medical research, raise awareness about organ donation, and provide vital help to parents of young patients. This new partnership with Carlo aims to supercharge fundraising efforts through the app’s seamless interface.

“It’s very simple,” explained Nina Desa, Carlo’s Marketing Director. “Just head to the commerce section in the app, select your chosen association, and proceed with the donation as you would a regular Carlo payment—without cashback. We’re delighted to spotlight Monaco Liver Disorder, who do so much for sick children across the region.”

The partnership coincides with the upcoming Carlo-sponsored cycling challenge on May 30, during which athlete Philippe Choquet will ride from Monaco to Andorra in just 36 hours. The goal is to raise €20,000, with half going directly to medical research and the remainder dedicated to improving pediatric services in local hospitals.

“We are a small association with no employees and minimal operating costs,” said Carla Chester. “Every euro makes a real difference. I urge all Monaco companies—law firms, banks, accountants, everyone—to give even €10 or €100. Together, we can make this happen.”

Donations can be made via the Carlo app or at monacoliverdisorder.com. Every contribution is tax-deductible.
