Don’t miss this chance to delve into one of the Mediterranean’s greatest underwater mysteries and meet one of the world’s leading marine explorers…

In collaboration with Andromède Océanologie, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Monaco Explorations, and the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, the museum will host a special preview screening of “Cap Corse: The Mystery of the Rings” on Monday, October 21, at 6:00 p.m. in its Conference Room. This exclusive event will feature the presence of celebrated marine biologist and explorer Laurent Ballesta.

Directed by Yann Rineau, and co-written by Rineau, Ballesta, and Aurine Crémieu, the film captures the Gombessa team’s latest underwater expedition off the coast of Cap Corse. At depths beyond 100 meters, over a thousand perfectly circular rings—each up to 20 meters in diameter—have been discovered. These mysterious formations, unprecedented in the Mediterranean, are the subject of in-depth scientific investigation.

Laurent Ballesta and his team, alongside a multidisciplinary group of researchers, employ cutting-edge technology, including a submarine and underwater station, to unravel the origins of these strange structures and explore the extraordinary biodiversity they conceal.

Organized by several key environmental and scientific organizations, including the Prince Albert II Foundation, the screening is free and open to the public upon registration before October 16.
