As part of its ongoing commitment to combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, the Monegasque government, through the Budget and Treasury Department in collaboration with the Economic Development Department and the Monegasque Financial Security Authority, has launched new free training sessions on international Targeted Financial Sanctions.

These monthly training sessions aim to strengthen the ability of participants to implement financial sanctions in compliance with both Monegasque and international regulations. The sessions are geared towards professionals in the financial sector and entities subject to anti-money laundering obligations, including insurance, real estate, yachting, jewelry, legal consulting, and accounting industries.

Each session covers key topics such as Monaco’s financial sanctions regulations, procedures for freezing funds, the role of competent authorities, and the use of the dedicated fund-freezing website. The sessions will take place on the first Thursday of each month at the Budget and Treasury Department, located at 12 Quai Antoine 1er, Monaco, with upcoming dates on November 7, 2024, December 5, 2024, January 9, 2025, and February 6, 2025.

Registration is mandatory and limited to 10 participants per session. Requests can be sent via email to: dbt.geldefonds@gouv.mc.
