The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has once again been named among the world’s most exceptional properties, securing 40th place in this year’s 50 Best Hotels ranking, unveiled at a ceremony held at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris on Tuesday, September 15.
Leading figures from the global tourism and luxury hospitality industry gathered for the fourth edition of the 50 Best Hotels awards, where the world’s top fifty properties were officially revealed. Louis Starck, General Manager of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, attended the ceremony alongside Hotel Manager Vincent Chasseignaux.
The recognition adds to an already strong year for the Monégasque palace hotel, which was also named earlier this summer among La Liste’s 1,000 best hotels in the world, reinforcing the property’s reputation for consistent excellence.
Built in 1864 in the Belle Époque style, the Hôtel de Paris stands as one of the defining names in Monégasque hospitality. Ideally positioned on Place du Casino, within easy reach of the Casino de Monte-Carlo, the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo and the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, the hotel holds four Michelin stars across its two restaurants, three at Le Louis XV-Alain Ducasse and one at Le Grill.
Its gastronomic offering extends well beyond those two flagship restaurants, with Lebanese-inspired dining at Em Sherif Monte-Carlo, jazz-infused glamour at the Bar Américain, and the original, indulgent creations of Cédric Grolet Monte-Carlo, set within the hotel’s Patio.
Following a five-year renovation completed in 2019, the hotel now houses 206 rooms and suites, including a selection of exceptional Diamond Suites, among them the Diamond Suite Prince Rainier III and the Diamond Suite Princesse Grace. The property is also home to the Caves de l’Hôtel de Paris, built in 1874 at a depth of 12 metres and holding more than 300,000 bottles across over 11,000 references, spread across 1,500 square metres, making them the largest hotel wine cellar in the world. The cellars themselves received the “Best of Award of Excellence” from Wine Spectator in June 2026, recognition of the quality and depth of the wines kept there.
This latest accolade reflects the sustained work carried out daily by the palace and its teams, a standard of excellence the Hôtel de Paris has upheld for more than 160 years.
