The festivities began with the traditional 42-gun salute from Fort Antoine on Easter night, accompanied by the joyful return of church bells that rang out across the city, symbolising the resurrection of Christ. These powerful echoes of tradition lit up the Monegasque sky and hearts alike.
The Easter joy continued into the next day at Parc Princesse Antoinette, where the Mairie de Monaco hosted a vibrant afternoon of activities for children and families. Little ones who had scoured the gardens for eggs were treated to creative workshops, including Easter basket crafting, egg painting, and a special session to design spring-themed decorations. A travelling mini farm delighted children with friendly ferrets, hens, and guinea pigs—many of them rescued animals. Educational feeding and contact sessions helped raise awareness of animal welfare in an engaging and tactile way.
Elsewhere in the park, a face-painting station became a crowd favourite, with queues of eager children waiting to be transformed into bunnies, butterflies, and other festive characters. Laughter and excitement filled the air as delighted children admired their colourful new looks in handheld mirrors.
