A formal military ceremony marked the transfer of command at the La Condamine Fire Station on Monday, November 25. The event, presided over by Lieutenant-Colonel Maxime Yvrard, was attended by key officials, including Government Advisor-Minister of the Interior Lionel Beffre, Director General of the Department of the Interior Christophe Prat, and Senior Commander of the Public Force Colonel Tony Varo. During the ceremony, Chief Warrant Officer Jean-Christophe Masotti officially handed over command of the La Condamine Rescue Center to Warrant Officer Laurent Audibert, his deputy.

Warrant Officer Audibert brings over two decades of experience to his new role, having joined the Monaco Fire Brigade in 2001 and serving at the Fontvieille Rescue Centre for 21 years. Throughout his career, he has developed a broad skill set, including expertise in hazardous environment interventions, aquatic rescue, and structural clearing operations. Additionally, Audibert serves as the Corps’ specialist in technological risks, a critical role in managing emergencies involving nuclear, radiological, biological, chemical, or environmental threats.

In December 2022, Audibert was assigned to the La Condamine Rescue Center as Deputy Head, where he has since played a pivotal role. His promotion to Head of the Center reflects his extensive expertise and commitment to ensuring the safety and readiness of Monaco’s emergency services.
