This Sunday, November 24, the Principality of Monaco will welcome the fourth edition of the Beking bike race, a vibrant event that gathers professional cyclists based in Monaco, amateurs, and families around Port Hercule. The race aims to promote cycling and raise funds for charitable causes. Full event details are available on the official website: Beking Events.
To accommodate the event, several road closures and traffic adaptations will be in place on November 24 from 04:00 to 18:30. Vehicle traffic will be prohibited on Quai des États-Unis, between the regulated access area and the Route de la Piscine intersection; Avenue JF Kennedy, between the Sainte-Dévote roundabout and the Route de la Piscine intersection; Route de la Piscine; and Quai Sud. Access to Quai Jules Soccal will remain possible with controlled two-way traffic, depending on race progress. This will be managed on Quai des États-Unis and Route de la Piscine. Traffic on Boulevard Albert I will be permitted on the service road, while one-way traffic will be implemented on Quai Antoine I, from the Rocher Noghès tunnel to the Esplanade des Pêcheurs. Motorists exiting the Antoine I car park must turn right towards the Esplanade des Pêcheurs.
Parking restrictions will also apply. From Friday, November 22 at 06:00 to November 25 at 06:00, parking will be prohibited on Quai des États-Unis, Route de la Piscine, the Louis Chiron turn, the first part of Quai Jules Soccal, Quai Sud, and Quai Antoine I between the parking lot and the Rocher-Noghès tunnel. Additionally, from Saturday, November 23 at 23:00 until 18:30 the following day, parking will be prohibited on Boulevard Albert I.
Public transport will also be affected. CAM bus line no. 1 (Monaco-Ville – Saint-Roman) will be diverted onto Avenue d’Ostende, with temporary stops set up at “Stade Nautique” and “Princesse Antoinette” near the train station. Meanwhile, the MonaBike electric bicycle station at Darse Nord will remain operational throughout the event.
