Monaco’s Directorate of Urban Development has announced a new wave of road resurfacing, ensuring the Principality’s streets remain in top condition…
The campaign, running from October 21 to November 15, will focus on eight key areas across Monaco, with operations carefully planned to minimize disruptions.
To reduce the impact on traffic, all resurfacing work will be conducted exclusively at night. Roads will be temporarily closed, but the work will be concentrated to limit the closures to a single night in most areas. However, in three sectors, additional repairs have been integrated into the schedule, maximizing the efficiency of these interventions.
Manual signalling and clear signage will guide traffic, especially for access to public and private parking, as well as businesses. Pedestrian routes will be maintained and marked, while impacted bus routes will be diverted after 8 p.m. to keep residents informed and connected.
Key road closures include:
Avenue Varavilla: Two nights of work on October 21–22 and 23–24, with alternating traffic and full closures.
Boulevard du Larvotto: Overnight closure on October 22, with parking access maintained.
Avenue Hector Otto: Extensive rehabilitation requires five nights of work between October 28 and November 6, with alternative parking arrangements for residents.
Avenue de Fontvieille: Road reprofiling over three nights from November 12–15.
Emergency services will have full access through the areas in case of urgent situations, and road users are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly.
With a focus on safety and efficiency, this end-of-year maintenance will ensure Monaco’s streets are smooth, secure, and ready for the winter season, maintaining the city’s high standards of infrastructure.
