This Sunday, the 30th Grande Bourse Numismatique et Cartophile de Monaco will bring together coin and postcard enthusiasts at Le Meridien Hotel…
Organized by the Monaco Numismatic Association (ANM), the event is a highlight for collectors across Europe. Christian Billard, president of the ANM, expressed excitement about welcoming “around fifty dealers from all over Europe” to this year’s exchange.
The event is set to cap off a week of numismatic activities in the Principality, which also includes auctions held by Monnaies de collections and Gadoury publishing house. According to Billard, “We take advantage of the public that travels here for the auctions,” creating a bustling atmosphere of enthusiasts.
Kicking off at 9 a.m. and closing at 4:30 p.m., the Grande Bourse is focused on quality over quantity. Billard noted a shift in collecting trends: “A new type of collector has appeared with the euro. Before, people collected coins only from their own country.”
The event will also feature a variety of postcards, posters, and programs celebrating the Principality, appealing to fans of cartophily. In addition, local artists are honored each year with a specially designed event poster, which is later turned into a stamp. This year’s poster by Delphine Lanzara follows this tradition, marking her first stamp design.
Free to enter, the Grande Bourse promises a day of discovery for collectors and enthusiasts alike at Le Meridien.
