Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder and owner of the renowned easyGroup brands, hosted the annual autumn reunion for the easy family of brands at the group’s headquarters in Monaco on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12. The two-day event brought together representatives from all easy brands, as well as key associates, for a series of business updates, networking opportunities, and discussions on potential collaborations.

The event featured presentations from notable figures, including Sir Stelios himself, Stephen Hester of easyJet, Karim Malak of easyHotel, Alejandro Stefan from Google, and David Cracknell of Tavistock PR agency. The program allowed the brands to engage in open dialogue about future strategies and growth.

For those unable to attend in person, Sir Stelios also hosted a virtual session via Zoom, ensuring all members of the easy family could participate. The first day concluded with a dinner at Monaco’s prestigious Hermitage Hotel, offering attendees a chance to network further and enjoy the renowned hospitality of the Principality. The evening also featured the much-anticipated sixth edition of the easyQuiz, with prizes including a week’s stay on the Greek island of Spetses and a dinner for four at the Poseidonion Grand Hotel.

The event’s master of ceremonies, Tony Anderson of easy.com, reflected on the origins of the easy brand, highlighting Sir Stelios’s bold decisions in launching easyJet as a disruptor in the aviation industry. Anderson also shared a personal testimonial from a former easyJet employee, Gary, who expressed gratitude for the career opportunities the company had provided him, enabling him to advance into a treasury management role and ultimately join a global finance firm.

Day two of the reunion began with a buffet lunch at the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation’s conference hall, followed by two working sessions. The first session saw contributions from easyGroup brands and associates, representing businesses from the UK, Europe, and India. The second session covered legal and branding topics, concluding with updates from the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation.

The event highlighted not only Sir Stelios’s entrepreneurial legacy but also the broader spirit of innovation and opportunity that the easyGroup fosters across its global network of brands.
