The next generation of ballet talent took to the stage on Monday, November 2, as the Princess Grace Academy presented its first performance of the new season, offering families and supporters a glimpse into the training and creativity of its young dancers…
Held at the Ballets de Monte-Carlo dance studio, the hour-long presentation brought together students from all six levels of the Academy, including several making their first appearance before an audience.
The programme featured classical exercises accompanied by music from Ludwig Minkus, alongside variations from the classical repertoire and excerpts from La Bayadère. A highlight was an original eight-minute dance piece choreographed by four senior students and performed by their younger colleagues.

The Academy has 49 students, including 14 newcomers from around the world, reflecting its international reputation for nurturing young ballet talent.
The Princess Grace Academy works closely with Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, providing young dancers with a direct connection to the professional world of ballet. Combining classical and contemporary training with guidance from experienced professionals, the Academy helps prepare its students for the demands of a career on stage.
Beyond demonstrating technical progress, the performance provided an opportunity for students to develop confidence, manage nerves and experience the demands of performing before an audience. These early appearances also allow teachers to assess individual development and identify areas requiring attention.
The students will continue their preparations towards the Academy’s annual gala, scheduled for June at the Opéra Garnier Monte-Carlo.
