In their first pre-season match, the Red and Whites lost to Servette Geneva by the slimmest of margins. The game, observed by President Dmitry Rybolovlev at the AS Monaco Performance Center on Saturday, July 6, allowed coach Adi Hütter to evaluate his squad extensively.

Hütter started with a 4-2-3-1 formation, featuring Thilo Kehrer and Wilfried Singo in central defense and Aleksandr Golovin and Mohamed Camara in midfield. The team dominated possession early, with Kassoum Ouattara creating the first significant chance, but the Swiss side responded with attempts from Kutesa and Cognat.

Despite lively exchanges and opportunities for both teams, the first half ended without a goal. Hütter made several changes at halftime, introducing players from last season’s Elite Group. Bertolucci’s powerful strike tested the Swiss keeper early in the second half, but it was Servette’s Jérémy Guillemenot who broke the deadlock in the 65th minute.

The young Monaco players struggled to create further chances, and the match concluded with a 0-1 defeat, watch the entire encounter below:

The team will continue their preparation with a friendly against Belgian side Cercle Bruges on Saturday, July 13 from 10:30.
