The Handiplage site at Larvotto beach officially opened today, attended by Christophe Robino, Government Advisor – Minister of Social Affairs and Health, along with representatives from the National Council, Town Hall, and various other government departments.
Christophe Robino emphasized the service’s dedication to people with disabilities, the elderly, and children needing swimming assistance. The Handiplage activity, offered in partnership with the Soroptimist Monaco Club, has been running for 19 years and operates daily until September 1, from 10:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and 9:00 to 19:00 on weekends.
Qualified staff provide quality bathing assistance, using tiralos for comfort and safety. This year, several enhancements have been introduced, including the addition of two new adapted deckchairs and an accessible shower, extended reception hours, the expansion of the Handiplage team to six members, and improved signage around Larvotto.
A free 3-hour parking package is available for visitors with vehicles in the Larvotto public car park. The Handiplage team can be contacted by calling 06 43 91 97 57.
