The Monegasque Digital Security Agency (AMSN) took part in the 36th annual conference of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) held from Sunday, June 9 to Friday, June 14 in Fukuoka, Japan. FIRST is an association comprising 748 computer incident response teams from 111 countries.

The conference provided a valuable platform for Bruno Valentin, head of CERT-MC (AMSN’s incident response team), and the director of AMSN, Frédéric Fautrier to engage with international counterparts on key cybersecurity issues, incident detection, and remediation strategies, in addition to formal discussions, informal meetings were held with representatives from CAC40 companies, including Air Liquide, Crédit Agricole, Schneider Electric, Thales, Vinci, and TotalEnergies, as well as French public entities such as Banque de France and ANSSI.

On the sidelines of the conference, CERT-MC competed in a cybersecurity challenge where 102 teams from around the world solved digital security puzzles and problems. The competition, held in a hybrid format both onsite and remotely, ran continuously from Monday, June 10 to 14. Out of the 102 participating teams, CERT-MC achieved an impressive 4th place finish.
