On Thursday, June 20, more than 150 Monaco residents and workers celebrated the third MonacoPride event at the Marius restaurant on the port.
MonacoPride, created in 2022 as a collaboration between Barclays Bank, the Fight Aids Association and Stars’n’Bars, is an opportunity for the LGBTQI+ to communicate with Monaco decision makers about the importance of diversity in the Principality, the organisers say.
Barclays has been a leader globally for decades in promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. According to Monserrat Marchetti, “Making everyone feel comfortable in their work is at the heart of our culture. We encourage this feeling through activities and initiatives, as well as creating networks that allow colleagues to network connections. Our ongoing relationship with PRIDE is just one of many ways we demonstrate our commitment to the LGBT+ community.”
This year as last, during the month of June, the front façade of the Monaco bank has been illuminated in the colours of the rainbow in observance of Pride Month.
