Monaco’s Minister of Equipment, Environment and Urban Planning, Céline Caron-Dagioni and the Minister of External Relations and Cooperation Isabelle Berro-Amadeï met successively with Leila Chikhaoui, Minister of the Environment of Tunisia, and Leila Benali, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development of Morocco on March 19 and April 12.

These bilateral meetings took place within the framework of article six of the Paris Climate Agreement, ratified in 2016 by the Principality of Monaco, which offers States the possibility of enter into voluntary cooperation with other states in order to achieve their respective national climate objectives.

Tunisia and Morocco are long-standing partners with whom the Principality continues to maintain strong ties. These meetings allowed the Monaco delegation to discuss the environmental ambitions of each country and to better identify synergies between climate policies.
