Formula E and the FIA announced on Tuesday, April 16 that they will unveil the highly-anticipated GEN3 Evo race car on Thursday, April 25 during an exclusive evening launch in the build-up to the 2024 Monaco E-Prix.
As the name suggests, this car is an evolution of the current GEN3 race car, the world’s fastest, lightest, most powerful and efficient electric race car ever made and the one being used by the all-electric championship until the end of ‘Season 10’ in late July, 2024.
The GEN3 Evo car will be pushed to the limit by the series’ world-class drivers across Seasons 11 and 12, and promises to deliver even more dramatic wheel-to-wheel racing and a step up in on-track action.
“As we prepare to unveil the GEN3 Evo, we’re not just launching a car; we’re continuing to shape the future of racing. This next iteration not only exemplifies our dedication to innovation and pushing the limits of technology but also enhances our commitment to delivering exhilarating, competitive racing for our fans,” said Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds, adding that “we are setting new standards in performance that will intensify on-track rivalries and fan engagement, keeping us at the forefront of global motorsport.”
The Monaco E-Prix will take over the Principality for one day only, on Saturday, April 27. The race will begin just after 15:00, and will go on until 16:00, before a podium ceremony until 17:00. However, the circuit will close from 05:00 until 19:30.
