The Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters tennis tournament will take place this year from April 6 to 14, 2024, on the legendary clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club, under the presidency of Miss Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy. More than 140,000 visitors, 38.4 million viewers and 167.1 million views on social networks were recorded in 2023.
The director of the tournament, David Massey revealed the major new features of this 117th edition.
The new features of this upcoming edition: launch of a service “click & collect” for fast food, modification of the seaside stand of Court Rainier III in order to create additional dressing rooms, creation of a new covered catering area, new partnership with France Télévisions that will broadcast one match per day on its platform France.tv and the final on France 4 which will complement the retransmission of all the matches on Eurosport France.
David Massey also announced that the Tournament was once again supporting the association GEMLUC (Group of Monegasque companies in the fight against cancer) which finances research and the latest technology equipment.
Concerning the participation of the players, David Massey said that the final list will be revealed in Paris on March 12 during a press conference. On the ticketing side, nearly 130,000 seats have already been sold and it is a safe bet that Italian fans will, like every year, be very present, especially since Jannik Sinner has just won the Australian Open.
Organised by the Monegasque Society for the Exploitation of the Tennis Tournament (S.M.E.T.T.), the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is the first Masters 1000 clay court tennis tournament of the season and launches, in a way, the summer season on the Côte d’Azur. The draw will take place on Friday April 5 at 18:00 and will be broadcast live on Monaco Info as well as only on the Facebook page of the channel and the tournament.
