New General Director of Monte-Carlo Beach René Blino joined the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group on January 15, 2024, to succeed Danièle Garcelon, as General Management of Monte-Carlo Beach.

René Blino began his career in retail and joined the hotel industry 15 years ago. He arrives from Paris, where he served as General Manager of the Madame Rêve hotel, a 5-star establishment with 82 rooms, recognised in particular for its two-star catering, led by Chef Stéphanie Le Quellec. He previously managed the Hôtel Barrière les Neiges in Courchevel and the Hôtel Barrière Le Gray d’Albion in Cannes.

René Blino has 360-degree knowledge of the luxury hotel industry having held the positions of Human Resources Director, Accommodation Director, F&B Director and Hotel Manager, mainly for the Shangri-la Group in Paris, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur , Manila & Ho Chi Minh, SBM said in a press release.

It is from this background and his experiences in luxury and ultra-luxury that René Blino takes over the management of Monte-Carlo Beach, which will reopen its doors on April 5, 2024 for the hotel part and on April 12 in its entirety with the Monte-Carlo Beach Club.

He succeeds Danièle Garcelon, who embodied the “Beach” for more than twenty beautiful years, marked in particular by the in-depth renovation of the establishment in 2009, which allowed it to win its fifth star, its commitment to sustainable development, the evolution of the catering offer with Elsa, and the recent opening of Maona Monte-Carlo.

“I would like to thank Danièle Garcelon for her constant commitment and her exceptional career serving our Group, and I am very happy to welcome René Blino who is the right person to write with us a new page in the legendary history of Monte -Carlo Beach, and more broadly the seaside center of our Group,” said Stéphane Valeri, Deputy Chairman of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer.
