The Prince’s Government announced on Monday, January 15, that a telephone number can now be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to enable the reporting of bullying.
The number is 98 98 96 96.
This system was made possible thanks to a fruitful partnership between the Department of Education and the Association for Assistance to Victims of Criminal Offences. The number is aimed at everyone: children and adolescents who are victims of harassment of all forms, violence in the school environment (physical violence, intimidation, mockery, insults, threats, cyberharassment…), to witnesses of these situations, as well as to parents and school staff.
Professionals from the two Associations will support people making calls to the number so that all support measures can be taken for the victim, as well as any actions intended to put an end to the situation in question.
The implementation of the hotline complements the numerous tools already implemented to deal with and put an end to situations of harassment at school, in accordance with the provisions of the Law No. 1.513 of December 3, 2021 relating to the fight against harassment and violence in school.
“The Prince’s Government reaffirms the priority given to the fight against harassment in the workplace school which is everyone’s business,” the Government said.
