The Embassy of Ireland wishes to appoint a new Honorary Consul in Monaco. The office holder will provide consular assistance and services to Irish citizens while supporting the Embassy in the further development of Ireland’s relations with Monaco, the Irish government has announced.
The role of an Honorary Consul is by definition honorary. It is not salaried and does not have pension entitlements.
Candidates should be current legal residents in Monaco. They must be in a position to provide suitable premises for the Honorary Consulate (more details can be provided on request). Honorary Consuls receive an annual honorarium of €1125 and a refund of eligible communication costs, and retain 50 percent of consular fees received (up to certain limits).
