HSH Prince Albert II and HSH Princess Stéphanie visited La Turbie on Saturday November 25 in order to actively participate in the reforestation initiative of the Monaco Guides and Scouts association, chaired by Marie-Hélène Gamba.
The Guides and Scouts of Monaco, who celebrated their hundred years this year, wanted to give back tribute to Prince Rainier III, as part of the commemorations of the centenary of his birth, by organising a project in favour of the preservation of forests but also for the benefit of Telethon 2023. Around a hundred cedar, Aleppo pine and flowering ash saplings were planted by volunteers, in partnership with the Urban Planning Department and the French Office of National Forestry.
Prince Rainier III had signed a Cooperation Agreement with the National Office of Forests in 1979, an active partnership that was extended, redefined and strengthened in 2007 by HSH Prince Albert through His Foundation and His Government.
