One Planet One Ocean – Exhibition
Artist Laure Hatchuel Becker is back at ESPACE 22 with an exhibition that will take visitors to the far corners of our planet. “One Ocean One Planet” features a collection of colourful works produced using the artist’s own personal technique. Highlighting the strength of nature and animals, and the majestic link between terrestrial and marine life, her pieces include Tigers, Cheetah and Panther, Rhinoceros, and also Corals, Sea Turtles and Seahorses. “My artistic quest is to emotionally reconnect man with nature and his deeply animal nature.” From Monday, September 18 to Monday, October 2 from 10:00 to 19:00 at the Espace 22.
Irish Violinist Katie Geelan at St. Paul’s Church
Katie is an accomplished musician, performer and music educationalist with 30 years experience. She directs choirs which appear frequently on BBC TV and supports charities and events across the North West of England. She coaches both violin and piano. As a performer Katie (Fiddlestix) has played music for her late Majesty the Queen, performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Bridgwater Hall and whilst resident violinist on the Granada Studios Tour performed at numerous celebrity corporate events. Her speciality burst of Irish music wil be played at at St Paul’s Church in 45 min sets on Tuesday, September 19 at 18:00 and Wednesday, September 20 at 17:30.
Pablo Picasso and Antiquity – Exhibition
A new exhibition at the Prince’s Palace is held as part of the international “Picasso Celebration 1973-2023”, a collaboration marking the 50th anniversary of the Spanish artist’s death. The works displayed are from the Fundación Almine y Bernard Ruiz-Picasso (FABA), and the Nahmad collection. Visitors will gain fascinating insights into the influence of Ancient Greek and Roman cultural on the painter’s work. Until Sunday, October 15 at Les Grands Appartements du Palais Princier. Fathers, Sons and Aston Martins
Among the new features of the 2023 season is Father&Son™, an event exclusively reserved for Aston Martins of all eras, knowing that each model entered must be different! The maximum number of crews at the start is set at 50. The list of cars entered will be composed of 25 classic and 25 modern. In addition, the competition will include two classifications, according to the classic and modern categories. The next edition of Father&Son™ will be held from Monte Carlo from Friday, September 22 to Sunday, September 24. 2023 Museum Festival – Activity
As part of the 4th Museum Festival organised by the Association des Amis du Musée océanographique de Monaco (AAMOM), youngsters aged 3 to 14 and their families are invited to come and discover the fabulous marine world at Monaco’s Oceanographic Museum. There will be a whole programme of activities designed to let participants reconnect with the ocean in a fun way, including workshops, treasure hunts, crafts, a mini-musical, and an exhibition. As every year, the Museum Festival aims to teach young people about the importance of ecology and the science of the sea. Au cœur d’un regard – Jane Gemayel– The last day of the exhibition
Au cœur d’un regard will offer visitors a retrospective look at the artistic expression of Jane Gemayel, blending traditional and contemporary techniques to create works that push the boundaries of art and inspire deep emotions, immersing the spectator in a world of beauty and sensitivity. 28th European Heritage Days
For this 28th edition, the theme of the European Heritage Days is “LIVING HERITAGE”. Rooted in centuries of history, the Principality of Monaco boasts a remarkable cultural heritage reflected in its unique traditions, cuisine, performing arts, dance, and song, all handed down through the generations. Cultural stakeholders, professionals and non-profit organisations all play their part in conserving our heritage of today, and passing it on to future generations to become the heritage of tomorrow. HERITAGE DAY – EXCEPTIONAL OPENING at The Princess Grace Irish Library
Enjoy a visit and discover Princess Grace’s personal collection of books, music scores and many other treasures from the Emerald Isle. Pop in to this cultural gem on the ‘Rock’ where you can experience Ireland! Jim Hamilton at St Paul’s Church
Former Scottish and Barbarians Rugby International Jim Hamilton will be speaking at the start of the Church service on Sunday, September 24 at 10:30 about the Doddie Weir MND (motor neurone disease) Research Foundation. Doddie Weir was one of the most characterful Scottish rugby football players of recent years and was also a British Lion. In 2022, at the end of what was quite an heroic battle during which he seldom lost his sense of humour and love of life, he succumbed to the ravages of Motor Neurone Disease at the age of 52. The Doddie Weir Foundation was set up to help find a cure for MND. During the Rugby World Cup there will be a donation box at post communion refreshments for people to make a contribution; our Churchwarden Russell Crump has helpfully had another placed in “Slammers” for the same purpose. It is a cause very close to the Chaplain’s heart and he would be happy to share with anyone more information as to how they might support the aims and objects of the Foundation.

Santo Sospir – Mauro Restiffe / Jean Cocteau – Exhibition
The Nouveau Musée National de Monaco presents Santo Sospir, an exhibition by the artist Mauro Restiffe, inspired by the house occupied and decorated by Jean Cocteau in Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat between 1950 and 1962. This silent conversation, orchestrated by Restiffe in the Villa Sauber, is like a cinematographic montage that alternates long shots and close-ups, monumental prints and smaller formats, fostering an embodied vision of the tattooed villa, where a (faceless) self-portrait of the author appears. Rainier III, The Builder Prince – Exhibition
Over his 56-year reign, HSH Prince Rainier III profoundly shaped the Principality into the modern Monaco that we now know, rightly earning the nickname ‘the Builder Prince’. In line with the centenary celebrations of the birth of the Sovereign, an exhibition shining a light on just how much the former Prince permanently transformed the face of his state featuring models, plans, photographs and more that have never been shown before is available to the public until Sunday, December 31 at the Salle d’Exposition du Quai Antoine Ier.
