Marianne Mathieu at the Cultural Events at the Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo

The Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo is pleased to invite Marianne Mathieu, Claude Monet specialist and curator of the exhibition Monet en plein lumière which will take place from July 8 to September 3 at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco. Monet and the Quest for Light is the cultural event of the summer in the Principality which will bring together nearly 100 works from around the world, including an unpublished painting and offers a new look at the work of the famous impressionist and his time on the Riviera.

Marianne Mathieu, curator of the exhibition, engages in a fascinating exploration of the work of the painter, through an extraordinary scenography where works rarely exhibited together echo and put into perspective the work of the Master with regard to his search for capturing light. Retracing the different significant passages of Monet on the Côte d’Azur (Antibes, Monte-Carlo, Roquebrune and Bordighera), the exhibition gives visitors the keys to better understand the work of the artist.

We invite you for an exceptional meeting in small groups with this art historian, en expert in impressionism who will share with you “behind the scenes” of the organisation of one of the largest exhibitions dedicated to Claude Monet in the last decade.

On Thursday, June 15, from 16:00 to 18:00.

Access by reservation, Limited number of places available, please reserve at c.russo@metropole.com.
