A recidivist shoplifter who appears to have made her stealing habits a way of life, appeared in court in Monaco last week following a theft of clothing from Decathlon, cosmetics from the Fontvieille pharmacy, and other offences.

She had already appeared before Monaco Criminal Court in January this year for similar offences, at which time she was given a two-month suspended sentence, French-language daily Monaco Matin reported.

Having admitted the string of thefts in February, the culprit was sent to jail for three months, again suspended. She was also banned from the territory of the Principality for a period of 18 months.

The court president warned her: “Be careful, the police remain vigilant on this point. They will bring you back to this court as soon as they see you in Monaco.”
