The fourth Plenary Meeting of the Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights met on Tuesday, February 21, to review progress toward equal rights between men and women in Monaco.

Of course, on the domestic front, violence against women has been a major concern and Céline Cottalorda, Interministerial Delegate for Women’s Rights, said that 2022 had been “a year rich in actions where we continue to contribute our stone to the common edifice of the cause of women”.

However, she added: “Many work places still have to mobilise to empower women and girls in a world where they do not suffer more violence or discrimination.”

Monaco contributes financially to several international programmes working for the protection of women, the education of vulnerable girls and women’s entrepreneurship.
