An in-form AS Monaco are looking to put up a fight when league leaders Paris Saint-Germain come to town. In fact, the Principality side is increasingly looking to be the favourite to win.

PSG may lead Ligue 1 by a comfortable margin of eight points, but the Parisians have endured a tough patch as of late, and were eliminated from the Coupe de France by Marseille just days ago, on Wednesday, February 8.

In a less than forgiving schedule, Paris will also go on to face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, February 14, which may lead to a less than prime selection for the starting squad in Stade Louis II.

The main man, Leonel Messi sustained a hamstring injury in that cup clash with Marseille, as did Ashraf Hakimi. Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappé is still on the path to recovering from a thigh injury. The star studded PSG side is certainly missing a couple of stars, but the multi-billion dollar club boasts a deep squad to choose from, and Neymar and Sergio Ramos are available to face Monaco.

On the other side of the pitch, Monaco are much better prepared to face their foes, with a wide selection of rested and in-form players to choose from. The Belgian tactician, Philippe Clement, will not want to change a winning formula, which has seen Monaco climb up the Ligue 1 table since the World Cup-induced break.

In addition to the manpower, Monaco also know how to take on the Parisian giants, having beaten them 3-0 earlier in 2022, before drawing 1-1 with them in the summer.

Monaco are tipped to come out on top in this match, which will kick-off at 17:00 in the Stade Louis II on Saturday, February 11.
