The pilot of the Monacair helicopter that crashed last Friday while making its descent to the heliport in Monaco from Lausanne has been named as Nicolas Geslin. He would have been 35 on December 15. He lived locally with his wife.
He had been a helicopter pilot since 2015 and had flown 2,300 hours in command.
The only passenger on the flight, 53 year-old Monaco resident Vyacheslav Taran, also died in the tragic incident.
An enquiry into the cause of the tragedy is being conducted by a specialist police team based at Roissy, Paris.
