As part of the European Week for Waste Reduction (SERD) that will be held from November 21 to 26, the Department of the Environment is holding a collection of clean underwear.
The theme for this year’s edition is: “Circular and sustainable textiles”. under the slogan “Waste is old fashioned!”
In order to raise awareness of the environmental impact caused by the production and distribution of textiles and the phenomenon of “Fast Fashion” and the incineration of fabrics, the Department of the Environment has installed a container in the shopping mall of Fontvieille that will allow everyone to drop off clean underwear (panties, socks, underpants, bra etc.).
These can be reused according to their condition, transformed or recycled. The container is located at the entrance of the shopping mall until November 25 and will be moved on Promenade Honoré II (opposite the Maison des Associations – Casa d’i Soci), on November 26.
