Lewis Hamilton astonished supporters in Brazil as he finished in first place after starting in P10 at Sunday’s Grand Prix.
This makes F1 history as no other driver has ever won a race from further back in the grid than P8.
Verstappen claimed second and Bottas took third, but all eyes were on Hamilton as he briskly made his way through the circuit, wasting little time.
On Lap 5, Hamilton was already closing in on his teammate, Bottas who let him pass and continue his charge. Then on lap 19 Hamilton took the lead from Perez.
This puts Hamilton back into the fight for the championship that Verstappen is still currently winning by only 14 points.
The Monegasque, Charles Leclerc, placed fifth, earning himself 10 points, making him sixth in the drivers standings, three points behind Lando Norris.
