‘L’arbre, le maire, et la mediatheque’ – Tout L’Art du Cinema

The Audiovisual Institute of Monaco presents a screening of the 1993 French film titled ‘L’arbre, le maire, et la mediatheque’ as part of the 18th season of Tout L’Art du Cinema.

The film was directed by Eric Rohmer and features Pascal Greggory and Arielle Dombasle. The screening will begin at 20:00 at the Théâtre des Variétés in Monaco.

Daniil Trifonov – an OPMC recital

The Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra presents this Daniil Trifonov recital, from 20:30 at the Auditorium Rainier III on Wednesday, October 27. Trifonov will perform the works of Hess, Bach and Brahms on the piano.

‘Clara Haskil, prelude et fugue’ – a TPG performance

The Princess Grace Theatre presents this play about Clara Haskil, a classical pianist from Romania. The play features Laetitia Casta in the lead role with Isil Bengi providing the music on the Piano.

The performance will commence at 20:30 on Thursday, October 28 at the Princess Grace Theatre.

Aurélien Pascal recital

French cellist Aurélien Pascal will perform the works of Britten, Cassado and Bach at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Monaco from 18:30 on Thursday, October 28.

Pascal will also perform at the St Michael’s Anglican Church in Beaulieu at 20:30 and the St John’s Anglican Church in Menton at 15:00 on Saturday, October 30.


Daniel Boeri book presentation

Daniel Boeri will be at the L’Entrepôt gallery to present his latest book, titled ‘La 53e des Anecdotes Naturelles’ on the evening of Thursday, October 28.

The book presentation will commence at 18:30 with a drinks reception and entry to the gallery, which can be found at 22 Rue de Millo in Monaco.

In Memoriam – Back on Track 61

The Monte-Carlo Ballet presents ‘In Memoriam – Back on Track 61’, which will be performed on three occasions this week in the Salle Garnier of the Monte-Carlo Opera House. The first performance will begin at 19:30 on Friday, October 29.

“The dead remain present only through our memories … This observation is at the centre of ‘In Memoriam’ by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Marrying the Corsican songs of A Filetta, the dancers tell how the caresses and the blows remain engraved in our bodies. Le temps qui passe … a subject also at the heart of ‘Back on Track 61’ , a creation by Jean-Christophe Maillot,” reads the Monte-Carlo Ballet website.

The second performance will also begin at 19:30 on Saturday, October 30, while the third and final performance of the week will begin at 15:00 on Sunday, October 31.

Lawrence Foster Birthday – an OPMC concert

The Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra presents a special concert for Lawrence Foster’s birthday. Foster will conduct Rudolf Buchbinder on the piano and the orchestra as they perform the works of Thomas, Enescu and Beethoven.

The concert will commence at 18:00 on Sunday, October 31 at the Auditorium Rainier III.

Grand Jeu d’Halloween 2021

The Marie de Monaco has organised a halloween party for children under 12 years old in the Principality. The event will be held in the Princess Antoinette Park, wherein fun activities can be found and frightening costumes are welcome.
