Monaco Classic Week 2021

From Wednesday until Saturday, September 11 the Monaco Yacht Club will host the Monaco Classic Week, the biennial event that brings the most beautiful traditional sailing boats, vintage motor-yachts and old motorboats together in the Principality’s Port Hercule.

There will be daily coastal races from Thursday until Saturday, and an elegance parade on Saturday, which can be viewed for free from either digue at the port, or the Saint Martin Garden next to the Auditorium Rainier III.

Evelyn Conlon talk

Irish author Evelyn Conlon returns to the Princess Grace Irish Library as the Ireland Fund Monaco writer-in-residence.

On the evening of Thursday, September 9 Conlon is set to discuss her latest collection of short stories titled ‘Moving About the Place‘, and to read the story titled ‘Up at the Library‘, which is said to have been inspired by her time at the PGIL last year.

Thursday Live Sessions – Return of the Lehmann Brothers

September’s Thursday Live Session at the Indigo venue of the Grimaldi Forum will see the Lehmann Brothers return with their groovy tunes. The group bravely combines a contemporary interpretation of jazz, funk and afrobeat, a combination that always results in a very funky concert.

Admission is free on the evening, but reservations must first be made through calling +377 9999 3000. Please note that those who wish to attend must also bring a valid piece of ID and either a valid health pass or a negative PCR taken within the previous 72 hours.

Doors to the indigo venue will open at 18:30, while the concert will commence at 20:30 and drinks and food will be available. Further details can be found on the Grimaldi Forum Website.

FEMMES DU MONDE

Photographer Nick Danziger will be present at the Louis Notari library in Monaco on Friday, September 10 to talk all about ‘FEMMES DU MONDE’, his latest photographic adventure.

The event will begin at 18:30 with free entry for all. Please note that reservations must be made by calling +377 93 15 29 40 or at the venue.

Candlelight concert and dinner

Monte-Carlo SBM offers a candlelit dinner and a show in the glamorous Salle d’Empire of the Hôtel de Paris on the evening of Friday, September 10.

Providing the music will be Stella Almondo, Irène Drésel and Élodie Frégé. A star-studded line-up, with a variety of genres on offer. Young Monegasque piano virtuoso Stella Almondo will be the first performer of the evening, and she will be followed by the up and coming DJ and composer Irène Drésel, who will provide the soundtrack to your meal.

Last but not least onto the stage will be Élodie Frégé, “whose honeyed vocals will set the very ceiling of the Salle Empire aquiver,” claims the Monte-Carlo Live website, wherein further details can be found.

Chef Franck Cerutti has created a vibrant dinner menu to accompany the music. The price to attend this evening is set at 430 euros per person, but worry not, as drinks are included. Doors open at 20:00, and reservations can be made here.

International Canine Exposition of Monaco 2021

The Exposition Canine Internationale de Monaco returns in 2021 for a two day event at the Fontvielle Chapiteau on Saturday, September 11 and Sunday, September 12.

This year, the focus will be on the Afghan Hound, Irish Wolfhound and Whippets.

Julien Clerc live

As part of his 2021 ‘Les Jours Heureux’ (Happy Days) tour, French singer-songwriter Julien Clerc will take to the stage of the Salle des Princes in the Grimaldi Forum on Saturday, September 11.

Clerc is expected to perform songs from his new album titled ‘Terrien‘, in which the song above can be found.

Monaco Yacht Show 2021

The Monaco Yacht show will be back this year in an exciting 2021 edition. From September 22 until September 25 Port Hercule will be transformed, as exhibitors from every aspect of the yachting industry will be present in the Principality.

Lang Lang in Concert

Pianist Lang Lang will perform Bach’s Goldberg Variations in concert at the Grimaldi Forum on Thursday, October 21.
