A 76 year-old patient at the Princess Grace Hospital has succumbed to coronavirus, taking the total number of fatalities linked to the disease to 10 since the start of the pandemic, according to Government calculations. The Government expresses its sincere condolences to the family.

Fourteen new cases of coronavirus among residents were recorded in the previous 24 hours, together with 20 full recoveries.

A total of 30 residents are being treated as in-patients at CHPG, three in intensive care. A further 21 people from the hospital’s wider catchment area are also being treated.

One hundred and fifty-two residents with mild symptoms are recovering at home under the supervision of the Home Monitoring Centre.

Thirty-one residents had tested positive for coronavirus over a 24-hour period until Tuesday evening, the Government announced.

Meanwhile, 25,308 new cases and 1,725 new deaths were recorded in the UK. While the case numbers represent a decline, the daily death toll is the second-highest since the start of the pandemic. French figures were not available.
