A resident who had tested positive for coronavirus – a person in their eighties – has died at the Princess Grace Hospital. This is the third death related to coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.

The first victim was a 72 year-old resident, while the second was in their nineties and suffering from a co-morbidity.

The Prince’s Government has expressed its sympathy to the family and loved ones of the deceased, and said it was a moment of great sadness for the Principality.

Today, five new cases of coronavirus were reported among residents, while there were five full recoveries. Of nine residents being treated at the Princess Grace Hospital, three are in intensive care.

A further 51 residents suffering from mild symptoms are recovering at home under the guidance of the Home Monitoring Centre.
