Monaco’s health authorities announced on Tuesday, August 25, that six more residents have tested positive for coronavirus.
This is the highest single daily figure since the start of the outbreak. One resident is in hospital, in intensive care. Three non-residents are also in hospital in Monaco.
On Tuesday evening, a total of 31 people are under medical supervision at home, having shown only mild symptoms of infection.
Taken as a whole, the figures suggest that the coronavirus has become less life-threatening.
In France. on Tuesday, 3,304 new cases were reported and 16 new deaths. In the UK 1,184 new cases were reported and 16 new deaths.
