On April 30, 2019, the Prince’s Government presented the Extended Monaco program at the Yacht Club in the presence of HSH Prince Albert. The priorities of this Principality’s digital transformation program were set: serving the quality of life, offering a new cycle of economic prosperity and increasing the value of public services.

After the announcement of the different components of the program implemented by Frédéric Genta, Interministerial Delegate in charge of the Digital Transition, and his teams, 2019 was a year rich with the implementation of around thirty initiatives, as well in smart mobility, e-Education and e-Administration.

Frédéric Genta told a press lunch on Thursday, February 13, at the Monaco Yacht Club that significant progress has been made, particularly in education. All students between the ages of 3 and 18 receive training in programming and teachers are encouraged to design new educational content using digital tools.

In administration, 45 percent of civil servants and Government employees are connected via messaging tools.

In a more general context, more than 1,500 soft mobility route calculations per day are made via the City Mapper application; more than 1,000 requests for information per day are made on digital tablets, on air quality, the cultural program etc.; and 2,000 journeys per day are made on electric bikes via the MonaBike app.
