The Monaco Philosophical Meetings will host the first Philosophy Residence in Monaco with the support of the Directorate of Cultural Affairs.
Supporting and welcoming authors and artists is one of the missions of the Prince’s Government, whose aim is to contribute to the quality and diversity of contemporary thought by enabling them to devote themselves fully to a personal research project.
For the first edition of the Philosophy Residence, Professor Avital Ronell (New York University, the European Graduate School), honorary member of the Philosophical Meetings, will be in Monaco from February to July 2020.
During the Residence Workshop, the philosopher will give two lectures, in French and English, and will write on the theme “Philosopher in Monaco” intended to be published by Les Rencontres Philosophiques in the Texts & Conferences collection.
The first talk will be held on Wednesday April 1, 2020, in English at the Casino de Monte-Carlo.
