UPDATED November 1, 19:00: Tuesday morning’s storm caused a landslip near Beaulieu-sur-Mer railway station that closed the Nice-Ventimiglia train line overnight. SNCF officials said the line was likely to reopen by 05:00 on Wednesday morning.

The incident coincided with the end of a yellow alert that had been in place overnight in the Alpes-Maritimes.
Earlier in the morning, Storm Claudio had caused some flooding along the Promenade des Anglais where water was unable to run off fast enough.
