Monaco’s most fervent football supporters have called for the firing of coach Leonardo Jardim.

In a statement released on social media on Monday, September 16, “Ultras Monaco 1994,” demanded the departure of manager Leonardo Jardim following the club’s 3-4 defeat to Marseille on Sunday night which resulted in the Principality’s soccer club occupying 19th position in Ligue 1 after five games.

“Because the club is saying nothing, we are not going to tire ourselves out by writing a lot, despite there being so much to say… Simply, it is time for action: Jardim, thank you, but it is time to leave now, and take with you those that you have been protecting.”

The statement went on to call on members of the board at AS Monaco to bring in the professionals that enabled this club to win (in the past). If there is no problem signing cheques, “just make sure they are the right ones,” the statement read.Ultras call for Jardim to be sacked
