By a Sovereign Ordinance published on Friday, August 30, Isabelle Costa has been named the new Secretary General of Monaco City Hall. Costa, an ENA graduate, steps into the role following her recent position as High Commissioner for European Affairs to the Minister of State, a role she has held since February 1, 2023. Prior to that, she served as an advisor in the Prince’s Cabinet and was Deputy Secretary General of the Government, in charge of the Europe Unit, from 2016 to 2021.
She succeeds Romain Druenne, who has served as Secretary General of the Town Hall since March 2022. Druenne is set to take on new responsibilities within the Prince’s Government. The Mayor of Monaco and city officials expressed gratitude to Druenne for his years of dedicated service, highlighting his roles as Finance Officer, Deputy Secretary General, and finally Secretary General.
Isabelle Costa will officially assume her new duties on Monday, September 9.
