Michel Boeri has secured another five-year term as president of the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM), extending his leadership of the organisation into a sixth decade.
The 87-year-old was re-elected on Wednesday evening following a vote in which more than 1,000 club members participated in choosing the board of directors. The newly elected board subsequently confirmed Boeri in the presidency, a position he has held since 1972.
His re-election comes as Monaco continues to prepare for the future of its flagship motorsport events, with infrastructure developments and the long-term requirements of Formula 1 remaining important considerations for the Principality.

One significant project was announced by the Prince’s Government on the same day as the election result. Work is set to begin on extending the Darse Sud area of Port Hercule, where a new concrete platform covering approximately 2,500 square metres will be constructed opposite La Rascasse.
The development is scheduled for completion in time for the 2027 Monaco Grand Prix and is intended to provide additional space for the event. The expansion also relates to discussions about meeting Formula 1’s evolving operational requirements and potentially accommodating an additional team in Monaco in the coming years.
The project has been among the developments advocated by Boeri as part of efforts to ensure the circuit and its surrounding facilities can continue to support the demands of modern Formula 1.
Having led the Automobile Club for more than 50 years, Boeri remains a central figure in Monaco’s motorsport landscape. His renewed mandate comes at a time when the Principality is balancing the preservation of its historic Grand Prix with the practical challenges of hosting one of the most prominent events on the international racing calendar.
The new five-year term will give Boeri further opportunity to pursue projects concerning the club and Monaco’s motorsport activities, as preparations continue for future editions of the Grand Prix.
